Back in February, I got a couple of knives from the local antique mall owner, a Kabar folding hunter 1184 and a nice Case 6318 SS. The Kabar needed the blades cleaned up and the Case needed to go back to Bradford because the spay blade was closing on the inside of the sheep foot. No apparent damage, seems one of the blades was not krinked properly.

- Showing the Sheep-foot obscuring the spay blade.
Sent it to Case after a phone conversation with a pleasant lady who gave me simple instructions after telling her what was happening with the knife. She said, "Sure sounds like a warranty issue to me." I used the tracking number and saw that the knife had arrived and today, a couple of weeks later, received the repaired 6318 SS, looks like a new one! The blades now close properly and I'm well pleased!

- Mark side as returned, looks like a new one!

- Blades closing properly with no blade rub.

So glad everything worked out for you. On another note
though you wonder why QA department was sleeping. I am
not sure how many knives pass thru the factory daily. I am
aware though there will always be a few real duds daily.
Case has always been good to me. They have sent me a few
shields over the years and have repaired 1 knife for me at
a decent price.

I'm not sure how Case QA operates. In a factory I worked at for quite a while, we made parts for military and aerospace, and we had to do a 15% random inspection rate. Grab 15 out of a box of 100, if those 15 are good, the other 85 never get looked at.

That’s good news! It’s always good to hear of a good old company taking care of its customers.
