Thanks for posting theseinterestingBokers, K7K. On the 2nd photo from the top, the bolster has crossed swords and an anchor. Do you have any information on that pattern?

I like Bokers as well. Of yours the fifth one down really rings my bell.

Thanks for the kind words. Not sure what the ''fouled anchor '' is supposed to signify. The smooth bone hamdles are a deep red tone. The sleeveboard is real early & the chain looks original. The oddest thing is the shape of the can opener on the utility knife. Haven't seen another like it.

Really like that bolster. It's the coat of arms for the city of Solingen, which is also seen on their flag. Solingen is known as the "city of blades".

I'm pretty sure I've seen similar can openers, but darned if I can remember where or what make of knife they were on. Quite a nice collection; I like those hunters (a pattern I'd like to get ahold of eventually)!

Those are all fine looking Bokers, T-Dog. And Henckles specified that Boker use higher standards of quality materials and quality control than previously provided by either Henckles or Boker. Soooo, extra fine knives.

Thanks Quick Steel,

I appreciate that very much

and very good to know Henckles went up on the standards of the knives.

I was not aware of that

I learned of the Boker-Henckles arrangement from Sharpnshinyknives, i.e. Mark.

... he seems to have a very deep "well of knowledge" when it comes to all things knives
