I bought a Schatt & Morgan wharncliffe whittler from ebay seller Edge1020. It turned out to be a faked or remade from parts. it had an over polished tang stamp and the ghost of an old etch on the back side of the main blade.

I was able to return the knife and get a refund but they sell on ebay often and you might want to be mindful when considering a knife from them.

Ive looked at several from that seller and passed. There were lots of knife parts sold at the Queen auction and Ive seen a bunch of knives I was suspect of. I bet there are quite a few which are not actual factory knives. Real prts put together by whomever bought the parts??? Who knows if the sellers did it or they are just reselliners?
