HAPPY FOURTH

Welcome to AAPK's Veteran’s Forum. This is a place where veterans can meet, get to know one another better, perhaps swap a story or two, and share any recent information that they have acquired from the Veterans Administration, DoD and Veterans Service Organizations, including but not limited to, DAV, AMVETS, VFW, American Legion, PVA, and MOPH. Another good source of information are branch specific organizations.
We will have a voluntary CHECKING IN topic where you can introduce yourself, years serve and branch or branches of service. Welcome Aboard!

HAPPY FOURTH

Post by Ridgegrass »

Wishing everybody an early Happy 4th. Here in Ocean City it's already the annual packed town so we natives lay low. I hope all the different political and activist factions take a time-out and reflect on what "independence" really means. If it's taken for granted it's sure to disappear. God Bless America. J.O'.

What J.O. said. Also, carry a commemorative knife if you have one!

Around here, it's the 4th of July on the 1st of July. The natives are restless & impatient.

Around here they have been shooting off fireworks for the last week. My puppy used to sit with me on the back deck in the evening and enjoy the cool air. Now, she is so skittish from the fireworks that she stays in the house. I'll be glad when the fourth of July is over so she won't be so afraid!

Happy Fourth of July y'all!

We had a Shepherd mix that was like that. That poor old dog would just shake to pieces and nothing would help. It was sad to witness and not be able to help. Loud noise is a primal fear in mammals and some dogs are very susceptible. Good luck with the dog. O'.

My Betsy Ross flag is going up today. For some reason, that flag to me seems particularly patriotic.

Last night's fireworks at Mt. Vernon.

Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Thanks for the show, John, probably the closest I'll get to the real-deal this year!
