Kershaw 1982 Trooper & Tanto Blade 2024T (Mfg. 1999-2002)

Kershaw began its foray into the knife business sometime during 1974. The company was originally based in Portland Oregon, but most early knives were manufactured in Japan. The first US manufacturing plant was opened in 1997 & the company currently offers knives made in the U.S., Japan, & China. Pete Kershaw (an ex Gerber salesman) started the business.

The trooper is one of the types of knife I really like to collect FoxFire ... The black handle and polishing are awesome, and it looks like it would have some weight! ::tu::

Do you know anything about the Kershaw Golden Bear? I have an opportunity to buy one at a pretty good price in excellent condition ... Thanks!

Yep, the Kershaw does have a nice balanced weight. I like a dagger-style knife over other designs. I really don't know anything helpful; regarding the Kershaw Golden Bear. Hopefully, someone else with a lot more knowledge than I have will chime in.

Foxfire, I found some good info at the link below, but this thread is about your Kershaws. I will see what I dig up about the "Trooper", and post it here also.
