All About Pocket Knives

Can someone help with this knife identification...has no visible tang stamp.

Many people think you can use the edge or in this case the pull of a knife to remove tacks and nails. I've seen a lot of them damaged by doing this. It's damage from prying.

People also use the blade backs to loosen or tighten screws.

I have several older knives with broken nail nicks. On close examination the nail nick is stamped or cut so deep that it’s paper thin where it breaks at. One I have is likely only .002” thick at the fracture.

In the got shields thread. Who would have thought....

With no tang stamp it is hard to find the value of any knife since the stamp is used for the main point of reference..my question is...can someone give me a ballpark figure as to value..Thanks guys

I have a couple of them, so yes when I seen the shield I knew immediately what it was.

Some Simonds were tang stamped and some were just etched.
