April 2024 Forum Member Knife Giveaway

This month we have a two-time donor donating a "two-fer"! Reverand (Scott) has reached into his collection of knives and has produced not only 1 knife for you to take a chance to win but 2! We are grateful for his generosity but wonder if his next donation will be 3 knives.
The first is a Bear & Son Cutlery 2015 Trapper with oak handles and a saber-ground master blade. Bear & Son Cutlery manufactures more than 300 styles of knives, and all components are made in the U.S., many of them right at Bear’s facility in Jacksonville, Alabama!
The second is a Moore Maker 5160LB with beautifully patterned smooth green bone handles. It has a half-stop and a liner lock. Moore Maker was established in 1985 by Wayland and Glynard Moore, in Matador Texas, and is the largest manufacturer of knives, and ranching tools in Texas.
However, this Moore Maker model was made in Alabama by Bear and Son, and both knives in this month’s giveaway were purchased at Bear & Sons factory sale this past November by Reverand making some cool provenance for both of these knives that passes to the new owner!
Both have carbon steel blades, and each has been carried one time. Good Luck!
Instructions for entering the giveaway...
Simply click here and select a number between 0 and 999.
You will have until April 30th (6:00 P.M. Eastern) to pick a number, after which entries will not be considered. The Illinois State Lottery evening pick-three drawing will determine the winner on April 30th.
The individual closest to the selected number without going over will win. The Illinois lottery results can be found on the following website:

To be eligible to win, you must be 18 years of age and either (a) have made at least 100 total forum posts at the time of entering the monthly giveaway or (b) have previously donated successfully to at least one prior monthly knife giveaway.
Please ensure that your Board Preferences Miscellaneous Notifications are set to notify you via email when someone sends you a Private Message (PM) to ensure the time requirements below are met.
The first-place winner will be sent an AAPK PM after the drawing and will have three days to respond with contact and shipping information. If the first-place winner does not respond within three days, the knife will be offered to the next player on the list without going over.
The next-place winner will be sent an AAPK PM, and they will have one day to respond with contact and shipping information. If the next-place winner does not respond within one day, the knife will be offered in the same manner to the next player on the list without going over.

Well after a most unwelcome outage, WE ARE BACK! We had a total of 45 entrants to this month's giveaway and 41 of those were eligible to participate. The winning lottery number was drawn on Tuesday 4/30 in the evening and
rarefish383 was the closest without going over. A PM and email have been sent to claim the prize. Thank you to our donor Reverand (Scott Kirby) for the fine Bear and Son 2015 Trapper and Moore Maker Trapper #5160LB that he graciously donated. Hope to see all 41 of you and then some in the shortened May giveaway!

Thanks Tom, and especially Scott. I think I'm getting old, I keep forgetting little things like hitting "Post" after I make a post. I was quite excited, when I just got home from my property in WV, and my PM indicator was lit up. I thought I had missed the cut off, but Tom said I was still good. Very cool knives with some good provenance! This is the second time I wrote this and I'm going to hit the "Submit button" now. If two posts show up, I'm still going to claim I'm getting old and repeating myself. Thanks again Scott!

Scott, I got the knives last week and have been out of town, then busy trying to catch up. Didn't take time to thank you proper. Those are really 2 nice knives, and they are SHARP! Thanks again, joe.
