Today, I have a freshly hammered Gyuto, a kitchen favorite

I forged it of 5160 carbon steel.
The handle is made of stabilized wood, bone and water buffalo horn.
It is 39 cm long with a 25 cm long blade.

A beautiful knife you have made. The handle adds a great deal to its beauty.
And a handsome scabbard; very nice all the way around.
I had to look up the length. 9.8" blade.

I'm not a good photographer. It must be an optical illusion.
It is 15.5 inches in total

Regardless of size, it's a beautiful knife that I would love to have in my kitchen
