Dusty duck equal end knife

Concerns on the equal end case knife my wife ordered for me from dustyduck. I didn't mention it to her because I want to stay married but I've heard tells of the red felt background all the way back when I first joined this forum years ago. Are these knives real or fake. Since they're not expensive knives I am hoping they are real but if someone could help me I'd appreciate it.

Need to see pictures or a link. Many of his knives are fine, some others not so much.

He sells some legit and some cobbled, as Eric stated. Personally, I would rather avoid his listings like a snake.

I have purchased many knives from him and just bought two more this week. The key to buying from sportcolbs is to know what you're buying/bidding on. If you are unsure about the authenticity, there's a good chance he is too. I honestly don't believe he intends to deceive anybody, he just sells whatever he has and leaves it up to the buyer to know what they're buying. He is very good about returns, though, so if you buy a knife from him that you later determine is a fake he will refund you and pay for return shipping, no questions asked.

He can actually be quite nasty on returns though he does allow them.
I spent about 20,000 to 30,000 with him over the course of several years and only returned maybe one in that time frame (handle crack that was not mentioned in the description).
Then I returned one high $$ Case knife since when I got the knife in hand it was an obvious (to me) rehandle job.
He did allow the return but blocked me permanently from buying from him, and in the process he unloaded a bunch of nasty insults at me. So he can be a real p***k if you get my drift.

I bought a few knives from Bill Swan over the years but I pretty well knew what I was doing. He has a devoted crowd of groupies who adore him and will often bid up his knives to ridiculous levels. Meanwhile, I don't think he has anything to do with the company's actual workings. He may have ownership, all or partial, or he may even be dead. All his auctions starting a year or two ago changed drastically as to both images and descriptions. A complete different auction house, as I have observed it.

That might explain why his handle changed from "sportcolbs" to "The Dusty Duck Collectibles"

Actually I think there are listings under both names.

I’ve had pretty good luck buying fixed blades from him, I tend to stay away from folders - I’m just not experienced enough- much less to worry about on folders. In my humble and naive opinion.

Seems pretty darned ridiculous to go off on somebody who has spent $30,000 with you over the course of a couple years over a returned knife, to me that’s just a joke

Was it a 6380 that was rehandled?
