Sod Buster blade repair

My buddy broke the rules and used his knife as a screwdriver and broke the tip so he brought it to me to repair. Ground it from the cutting edge to reshape and rebound the edge in the last 1/3 and sharpened it up. He’s an “A knife is a tool” guy and will continue to us and abuse it, but at least it will last a bit longer.

Nice reprofiling!
Ready for more use and abuse.

Thanks! Any more tip broken and I would have had to take a bit extra off the top because it would have had blade peek. There isn’t much kick to take off the tang to drop it deeper into the blade well.
