Ulster Tl-29 "Real Lamb Foot" Frankenknife

I noticed this old Ulster TL-29 electrician in my pile of oldies that I am working through and I realized that the spear blade was so worn down that it reminded me somewhat of the shape of the "real lamb foot" knives that some of the great knife makers that post here on AAPK produce. The black composite/plastic scales had shrunk down leaving big gaps between the bolsters and scales. But, this was a very sturdy knife with thick springs and blades and I decided it would be a great candidate for some tinkering. Everything apart and cleaned, the screwdriver blade and center liner/linerlock jettisoned, and some new, thick OD canvas micarta scales/covers installed and I guess that maybe this can now be called a "lamb foot frankenknife"?

Great save!
I have a couple with very worn blades, and I need to try that!

Heck ya, that's what I'm talking about! I love a good TL29 mod...I'm surprised I haven't done one of those Lambfoot mains before.
Great work!

Only my second post here, but Love your Mod! I absolutely Love my TL 29s. And, I've been thinking about getting rid of the secondary blade and slimming one down. Any tips or tricks is appreciated.
