Kershaw Leek carbon Fiber - add magnacut blade

Hi all,
I'm a Kershaw collector, among other knives, and I have a couple of Kershaw Leeks with the carbon fiber scales.
I thought it would be really cool to take a new Leek with the Magnacut blade and swap out the blade into a carbon fiber scale model.
Has anyone here tried that swap?
Thanks,
R. Mackie

I’ve done a few blade swaps but not on the Leek. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t.

The good thing about that is that if it doesn’t work, you can just put them back together the way they were. You really have nothing to lose by trying unless you strip a screw or something.

The fit may be a little wonky.

I swapped a blade on an older black coated version for a plain stainless 14C28N blade, and I noticed it was a tiny bit loose in the framelock. Supposedly, a lot of lockblades are hand-fitted between the lock mechanism and the blade, so it may not work.
