Winding down

As the weather gets nicer, yardwork and home improvement projects really start to suck up alot of my free time. I have a feeling I won't be working on all that much until the fall comes, aside from a few rainy day projects 
. Before the summer got started I decided I needed a nice, simple, nothing invested, emotional attachment free EDC. Something I wouldn't feel bad using around the house to do all those jobs you need a knife for. Sure, I carry most all my customs, but they always end up being babied, and treated less like a tool than most people consider normal 
(not you guys, you know how it is, when someone at the office asks to borrow a knife and you want to tell them you left it at home, or offer to cut it for them).
Anyways, I picked up a nice little factory second Moore Maker small stockman. It had a cracked bone scale, and the Spey was a bit lazy on closing, but it met my basic requirements. 1095, good construction, American made (Queen? no "B" after the part number, so probably not Bear and Sons) and it was about 1/3 the cost of a "new" Moore Maker. I'd read a bit here and elsewhere about them, and decided to give it a go. Overall, NICE knife. I replaced the cracked yellow bone with some of Charles Turnage's Mammoth bone I had leftover (very hard to photograph, sorry). Aside from that, it's pretty plain, a good user
And that's really the only good picture I was able to get. Theres some serious depth and color in the bone, but it buffs up so nice it's hard to get a nice shot without the glare killing me
On that note, since I can't just leave you with one lonely picture.... some "knife porn" for all you stockman lovers. My new MM, My brother in law's 34OT that he's yet to receive, and my late grandfather's 34OT, well used, much loved, and re-handled in Koa.
