S & M Gowanda skeleton?

I've had this piece for around 40 years. Never knew what it was. The blades are perfect, just a spotted. Half stops, aluminum scales. Any thoughts? Did they supply jewelers? Fake? Second?

Thanks. O'.

Nice old knife, I’d say that’s a rare stamp, if it’s legitimate. I think it’s just an inexpensive metal handled pen knife but I’m not very knowledgeable about old S&Ms. Hope someone who knows more will come along.

Thanks Ken, I've always thought it could be a skeleton for a jewelry company, maybe for some chased silver covers ? The blades still have a nice factory finish. That's an 1890's mark. O'.
