I was in an old 2nd hand store last week and they had a box of old knives. Most were junk but I picked a a couple. After I cleaned this little guy up, it became one of the knives that I will regularly stick in my pocket. Its very sharp. Any ideas as to how old it is?

No sir, it is almost impossible to data a Colonial knife, especially a common pattern that they made for most of their history. Just from the general appearance I would say anytime between 1950 to 1980, but that is a wild guess.
Colonial did not change their tang stamps. Their knives were made to be used, not collected. Their claim was to focus on superior heat treatment of blade steel, then put those blades in an inexpensive frame.
They did it, too! Those blades will hold a wicked edge, and a knife that may originally have cost 50 cents could outlast you!
A good save.
