Spyderco Calypso Opinion Request

I just got a 1998 Spyderco Calypso C54 with black linen micarta, plain edge, gold bug on clip. About 5 1/8” closed. It has very light pocket ware and light sharpening scratches. No box. An elegant, slim, lightweight knife that I’m tempted to drop in my back pocket.
So to you Spyderco guys: I know the production life span on these was short. So it this knife a collector that may appreciate, or can I EDC without guilt?

The answer depends on why you bought it an how much you paid for it, plus do you like it? Older spydercos don't seem to be fetching much unless there is a real demand. USe it and enjoy it!

Check SOLD listings on eBay to get an idea of how much people are paying for the same model.

Then ask yourself which do you want more. The knife or the money.

I wouldn’t gamble on the knife appreciating in value. Not saying it won’t. Just that I wouldn’t gamble on it.
