I wonder how much you'll see about this in the MSM? I hope this is legible, from NRA's Rifleman.

The day before is an official holiday in Massachusetts known as Bunker Hill day. It commemorates the midnight ride of Paul Revere and William Dawes to warn of the impending British invasion. As an aside, the Boston marathon traces the route they followed from Lexington to the Old North Church; a distance of 26 miles 385 yards.

Bunker hill day is in June.

It commemorates the battle of Bunker hill which was fought on Breeds hill. June 17th.

Both hills are gone now used to fill in Boston's Back Bay. There is a monument there now My understanding is the top of the monument is were the top of the hill was.

Is this a late April fools joke?

Bunker Hill Day is June 17th

Revere and Dawes took 2 different routes to make sure one of them got through. The Boston Marathon follows neither of them.

The Boston Marathon starts in Hopkinton. It doesn’t even go through Lexington and Concord. It is 20 miles from the Old North Church to The Old North Bridge.

It seems that l owe an apology to all for the misinformation in my previous post. The 18th of April is the date given for Reveres ride in Loongfellows poem that l was forced to memorize and recite in the 3rd grade. Please forgive this 81 year old mind!

Odd I remember learning this poem by Longfellow as a kid and can still remember part of it today.
"Listen my children and you shall hear, of the Midnight ride of Paul Revere. Twas the 18th of April of '75, hardly a man is still alive, who remembers that famous day and year."

250 years ago today.
