Small Remington Jack Knife

I recently joined AAPK and have found a lot of useful information and interesting posts. I thought that people in this forum might enjoy seeing an old Remington jack knife that is in my collection. The main blade tang stamp has Remington inside a circle, with Made in USA outside the circle. The pen blade tang stamp just has the Remington inside the circle. I can't read the pattern number, but I know that it belonged to a great-uncle of mine who was a Marine aviator and died in an air crash in Texas in 1944. At that time it was given to my father, and eventually passed on to me. The knife is still in very good shape and I occasionally use it for my daily carry - but no heavy use.

Welcome to AAPK ::welcome::
It is always great to see and hear about a knife with a family connection. Many people want to "restore" an old family heirloom knife, but I always say don't do it. The condition your knife is in now is the way your family member used it. If it is restored it becomes something else.

Welcome here, Paul.
What a nice looking knife you have there with that special family history. Good for you.
I'm impressed that you carry it.
Good post!
