This was my dad’s knife and after doing a little online research, it appears to be a first year Uncle Henry folding Bowie, 227UH. From what I found, this knife was introduced in 1973 and this was also the last year they used the Schrade - Walden tang stamp. That info alone made it pretty easy to date. Thoughts?

Sounds right. Look inside the knife for a serial # stamped into one of the liners.

I am intrigued to see that it is through-pinned, rather than having a Swinden key.
A very nice knife!

I believe that I was told that the small end of the knife with the lanyard hole is Swinden construction and the blade end is pinned.

Cool knife, thanks for the pictures.
BTW- what out for that green stuff, it's called verdigris and it eats metal.
