Does your Case have good sound? Huh?

That's a pretty strange question for a knife forum but makes perfect sense for us collectors of restored vintage radios. Case Electric Corporation formed in 1929 from the merger of several companies with Marion Mfg, & Electric Co. of Marion, Indiana. Marion made radios from 1923-28. Case moved to other products but came back to radios in 1935-36. Unlike "our" Case they weren't successful and closed their doors soon after.

Case radios are quite rare, as evidenced by the fact that the Radio Attic, the premier site for buying and selling restored radios, has sold well over 20,000 radios in its 20 years of existence, but only two were Case. While I own Case knives I don't own a Case radio, but if I did I bet my Case would sound great!

Back when families gathered around to watch the radio, I can see where that Case would have been a pleasure to watch.
