Debating a Buck Custom Shop 110.

S35VN Drop Point or Magnacut Clip Point? Nickel or Brass bolsters? Scale options pro and con?

I'm thinking Drop Point but, I would prefer Magnacut steel. Do the nickel bolsters hold up over time or, is it just a finish that will wear and not look nice over time?

I will second the Drop Point blade. That’s what I would get.

I have ordered from the Buck Custom Shop 7 or 8 times and I have always chosen Nickel Silver. Keep in mind that the 110 has integral bolsters and liners meaning that they are the same piece of steel. If the bolsters are Nickel Silver, the liners will be too. Same with Brass.

Nickel Silver will also tarnish but like Brass, it’s pretty easy to clean up with some polish.

Buck recently stopped offering “Rivets” as an option on the Elk handle slabs. They will be attached with glue only so keep that in mind if considering Elk.

you got me playing with the configurator, not buying at the moment but if I was this one might make "the cut".
Drop point, water buffalo and rivets. Just do what feels right for you.
