Made from .062 AEB-L stainless steel and dressed up with some juniper green jute Micarta handles. I like the shade of green in the handles.

Very well put together Jeff, how were the sides of the covers carved-out and shaped?

The Micarta handles were cut to their rough size on the bandsaw. Then I mount them to the knife using Corby bolts and epoxy. They are shaped to the knife on my 2” x 72” grinder using a slack belt attachment and a variety of scalloped belts. The main parts are done with a 2” wide belt and the more intricate parts are done with a 1” wide belt. The belts get it to 800 grit and then they’re hand sanded to 1000 grit. After that it’s a quick trip to the buffer with some pink no scratch compound and it’s done.
Hope this makes sense.
