All About Pocket Knives

This month we feature a giveaway from woodwalker (Kevin), a first time donor who has agreed to part ways with his Queen Cutlery #85 Bird & Trout with Amber Carved Stag Bone (ACSB) covers. This is a perfect field knife for any fisherman or small game hunter. The model 85 is commonly referred to as a Bird and Trout knife but at the time Queen was advertising it as a "Finn" or "Trout Knife".

The Queen #85 is a light to medium duty hunting knife that features a 3.00" clip point fixed blade made of 420HC stainless steel and is 6.375” long overall. The knife with full length tang construction features an aluminum cross guard and pommel and comes with the original embossed leather belt sheath and the original box. Proudly crafted in Titusville, Pennsylvania, this knife has never been used, carried or sharpened. It's woodwalker’s honor to donate this with the hope that the new owner will enjoy it as much as he has enjoyed looking at it!

Instructions for entering the giveaway...

Simply click here and select a number between 0 and 999.

You will have until March 31st (6:00 P.M. Eastern) to pick a number, after which entries will not be considered. The Illinois State Lottery evening pick-three drawing will determine the winner on March 31st. The individual closest to the selected number without going over will win. The Illinois lottery results can be found on the following website:

To be eligible to participate, you must be 18 years of age and either (a) have made at least 100 total forum posts at the time of entering the monthly giveaway or (b) have previously donated successfully to at least one prior monthly knife giveaway.

Please ensure that your Board Preferences Miscellaneous Notifications are set to notify you via email when someone sends you a Private Message (PM) to ensure the time requirements below are met.

The first-place winner will be sent an AAPK PM after the drawing and will have three days to respond with contact and shipping information. If the first-place winner does not respond within three days, the knife will be offered to the next player on the list without going over.

The next-place winner will be sent an AAPK PM, and they will have one day to respond with contact and shipping information. If the next-place winner does not respond within one day, the knife will be offered in the same manner to the next player on the list without going over.

What a beautiful fixed blade knife. I'm a big fan of those ACSB handles. Queen and Canal Street both used them on numerous models in their production lines. Thank you Kevin for such a fine dontation.

ACSB is always a popular handle material on AAPK

If I didn't already have an ACSB #85 I'd be all in on this drawing for sure, working the lucky rabbit foot, looking for four leaf clovers, dusting off the old horseshoe, etc., anything to encourage fate to swing my way

But, since I already have one, I'll keep my name out this month so other members have a better chance. Still awfully tempting, though
