Carole Sam passes

If any of you Bluegrass fans are familiar with the southeast Pennsylvania scene you may be familiar with the band, BLUESTONE. They've been around for many years and were led by my good friend Carole Swan on guitar and vocals. He was a great performer and played a late-forties D-28 that was the loudest Martin I ever heard, a real thunder box. Carole was in his early eighties but still sang like he was thirty, and still playing regularly. I used to call him. Dorian Gray because his face never aged in the 50 year that I knew him.
I got a call this morning that he passed yesterday of, from all things, a fatal reaction from a peanut allergy. I need to know more; it had to be an accident.
Anyway, he will surely be missed. He was due to play tomorrow night at Rob's Bluegrass Barn in Westminster, MD.
RIP Carole, see you on the other side. ::facepalm:: J.O'.

Thanks Gents. Strange way to go at 83. ::shrug:: Check the band out at bluestonebluegrass
Toughest part of getting older is losing old friends. J.O'.

Here's Carole Swam with his monster Martin D-28. He was 83 and never showed it. J.O'.
