We had a storm the appeared quickly producing 60 mph plus winds. Lots of trees down but we thought we had escaped any damages. We had power this morning then at noon it all shut down. No power until 8:30 this evening when everything came back online! Thankfully DTE was able to restore our power in 8 hours time.

I have learned to keep the refrigerator closed. Glad it wasn't worse, Jeff.

Yes, keep the beer cold at all cost! I’m glad it wasn’t worse.
Thanks!

Those pop up thunderstorms can be scary. Fortunate there wasn’t more damage and your power was restored.

Although we unfortunately don’t think of them that way those electric service linemen are first responders! I for sure would not want to be out in the weather they are often working in, up on a power pole or cutting limbs out of tree tops. Rain, snow, sleet, ice, lightning, wind, etc. They deserve more recognition. ::tu:: ::tu::

Yes they certainly are first responders. One of our good friends is a retired lineman and his son and grandson are also working lineman.

Yes sir, those linemen are real heroes that are sometimes overlooked when folks mention first responders! Their skills are required not only for weather events but house/building fires and vehicle accidents day and night. The electrical power sometimes has to be shut off before the "first responders" can respond. ::hmm::

I agree wholeheartedly, they are heroes in my opinion. I think we should say a prayer for the all our first responders every day. ::pray::
