John Primble Belknap Boker? No Bail

Hey all, this is my first post. I’ve been into collecting vintage pocket knives for a little while now and usually find all the info I need on google but this one has stumped me. I recently got this John Primble camp knife which I believe to be a Boker made. Maybe someone can confirm. The thing that has stumped me is the lack of a bail or any evidence there ever was one. I’ve not seen another one like it on the internet. The ones I’ve seen with no bail show obvious signs that there had been one but someone removed it. Thanks for an insight.

The star on the pile side tang indicates the knife was made by Boker USA. I had a twin to this one a while back and it did not have a bail either. Not every scout/utility knife came with a bail. Most, yes, but not all.
Welcome to AAPK.

That is a good-looking knife! I like to see one that is worn, but not worn out.
Confirming Philco's post and your suspicion; the Star symbol denotes that it was manufactured by Boker USA.

Thanks guys for the info and confirming this is a boker made. I was happy to find this knife and the lack of bail makes it much more pocket friendly.
