Kutmaster Hawkbills

Here are 2 Kutmaster Hawkbills I just recently finished. One is black walnut with brass pins and the other is oak with nickel pins. I’m still having a heck of a time blending the pins in the bolsters. You can’t feel them. I’m thinking the pin stock is the culprit but who knows it’s probably me.

I believe you are correct; the pin stock is the culprit. The bolsters on those two knives are steel, (unless I miss my guess). And you are probably using nickel silver pins. You can get steel pins and they do bend in better.
