Mora knives are functionally excellent. I love that sheath! You can buy old and new versions of those knives for a song.

Thank's guy's..for an inexpensive knife I'd bet it would work fine, it sharpened up nicely. Any idea's on the steel they used?

Camillus hunting knife high school buddy gave me around 1978 , it was painted black and tossed in dads work bench. Found it again 10 years ago molded and rust spots ,cleaned it up with soap and water, steel wool and mineral oil. See a lot of them listed for sale as military knives

I love it, and from what you described it cleaned up very well. Good job on it. I can see where it could be mistaken for a military knife.

Sweet! 5.5 years in the wait! Do you forget it was coming and surprised when it showed up? Dumb question, how could you forget a Randall was on the way? Congratulations!

Funny you should ask Byrd. I didn’t really forget but it was a surprise.

I ordered a wrench for work so when I found the box in my mail box I threw it in my truck. Got to work I tore the box open and got a surprise. Thankfully I didn’t cut the sheath or send it flying across the parking lot.

Toungeriver,
It’s a model 1 7” carbon steel false top edge #2 handle and my name engraved.

Not in the same class as that beautiful Randall, but this Buck 105 arrived and I am liking it (not necessarily the etch).

Oh my! Those are nice knives. One of the few stacked leather Buck knives. I’ve seen the etches removed before. Not sure what it involves.

I've not seen stacked leather on a Buck, except the Brahma. I like better than the resin handles. Good catch!

I wish Buck silver soldered their guards, it’s a nice touch I really appreciate on my Randall’s. So I JB Weld my Bucks.

That’s the only complaint I have with Buck. They have great designs and cut well hold a decent edge. I think they are the best value out there for sportsmen.

Agreed on the bang for your Buck! How do you JB Weld the guard on a Buck? Do you take it apart or just cram the epoxy into the gap?
