Jeffin LB7

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Looks great!


As a huge fan of the 6OT (but using the 110 for real work, as I can go to a store and buy a 110LT as a beater for $20, but it's getting harder and harder to find a decent user in the LB7 family for that same price), I prefer the Schrade LB-7 family. The one thing the 110 has over the LB-7 family is the myriad of handle choices and blade steels that were offered. Jeff has, most certainly, rectified that problem. I keep meaning to have one done, but haven't yet.

Beautiful knife, he does excellent work. A classic example of there are still good quality knives at competitive prices to be had out there. Your purchase is a classic example. ::tu:: ::nod::
