Missing Old Timer Badge

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Missing Old Timer Badge

Post by Bloodhound »

For my high school graduation, I was given a Schrade Old Timer 34OT...that was 1981. Since then it has been carried and used Alot ... I somehow broke the tip of the main blade, and reground it. and I lost the "Old Timer" badge inlay...I would like to get a new/replacement badge for the knife...

Any idea where I could find one?

Scott

eBay has old timer shields for sale sometimes. You may
be required to buy more than 1.

Possibly buy a beat up Old Timer and get the shield off it.

Contacting Schrade company was a waste of time in my experience.

Good Luck!

Bob

p.s. I believe they come in various sizes. Get the exact one you need.

I have been looking for a while now, so I think I may get some ebonite used for pipe stem repair and make a black ebonite fill of the void and call it good. It is not aq collector it is a user and that will just be one more id that its unique to me...my knife.
