Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Had to do some running around in town today. While I was there, I had my ears lowered then ran by my buddy's Comic / Sportscard / Diecast / Pocket knives & video game emporium. He had a few he had got in trade so I walked away with a couple or three.
A Remington RB473 Razor Barlow. I believe this is one that was made by Bear, which is rather surprising because the blades have no wobble and have great snap and positive half-stops. No signs of use, Red Stag Handles and rifle bullet shield. But it does have two pins in the handle, so I may be mistaken about it being made by Bear, but the shape of the frame and bolster looks like the Bear made barlows. Couldn't help myself, the handles spoke to me. Next, one of the ugliest Colonial Loclbacks made. But it has no signs of use, no signs of ever being re-sharpened, but the blade is sharp. Also proof it's never been used, the blade hasn't developed any side to side wobble, has great snap, and locks up tight. I think I'll keep this Big Banana like it is. Lastly, a No Line Camillus #16 Heavy Equal End Jack as Camillus lists it. 3-5/8" closed with Clip master blade and large pen secondary. Black composite handles with nickle silver bar shield. Blades are stained, with toning and spots, but have great snap and no wobble. The tang stamp on the master clip blade is CAMILLUS over NEW YORK over U.S.A. which was used between 1946 to 1956.

Maybe, but if you can't drive anywhere, what is more fun than staying home and playing with your knives.GSPTOPDOG wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 3:28 am

or a Razor Barlow with Winterbottom scales...
Now I look at the inflation taking place and I could have used that money for gas today and I say to myself; "What was I thinking spending all that money? $$$"
... I could have bought a $5.00 knife from China!
