Interesting knife, to say the least. 1. It looks like there are 2 guys in that canoe and the Case etching only has one guy in the canoe and its a much longer canoe. 2. The knife appears to have the 1940-1964 tang stamp, but according to Steve's book, and if I'm reading correctly, Case didn't start the canoe blade etching until 1974. There are probably a lot more anomalies . ::hmm::

Agreed Herb.
The 52131 stamp is uneven too.

The seller did add a counterfeit disclaimer in the description after some folks called it out. Thank you to them.

I feel sorry for the seller, but am thankful that he was honest enough to change his listing. I appreciate honesty and integrity!

It appears Frost did the same two-man blade etch in the 90's that Case used in the XX period.
