Good luck, I want to see that knife when you get it cleaned up... ::tu::

That knife had so much rust on it the vinegar in bottle turned red. Here it is soaking in the vinegar and it is blowing off a lot of gas, I have to "burp" the bottle twice a day so it doesn't explode. ::skeptic::

That's a considerable amount of rust...it could easily be a Michigan knife. Hope you're able to salvage something out of it!

Picked up a Camillus #20 and a Scout knife without a maker's mark...anybody have an idea as to who made it? Imperial? It has the older style can opener on it.

I think you will be very happy with any of the three, but perhaps especially the big Gerber.

bighomer,
I ain't too big on the RoughRider or the RoughRyder band wagon but that Moose would be a temptation! Looks like it is a RoughRider, an earlier model. I was truly impressed with the blades on a RR Trapper that was sent to me anonymously several years ago, dressed a deer with it right out of the box and never touched up the blade. ::nod::

Made it out to my first flea market of the year today. Our son wanted to know what I wanted for Fathers Day, and I said just to hit the flea markets with him. Of course, the weather wasn't too cooperative, it had rained during the night, so one of them was cancelled. The other one we went to was poorly attended by vendors. I did find a couple tables that had some decent stuff, so I pulled the trigger on these. In the pic are a couple Schrade Walden 204, a PAL pruner, Remington 2 blade, Case 2 blade jack, Camillus, Kabar, and a Race Bros. whittler. They're not all winners, but pretty decent overall.

Glenn, I'd say you did pretty well. And I have no doubt that you can easily handle any work they may need. Spending time with your son made the trip even better!

Doubt this one will ever skin anything although it's sharp enough to.
I figure I helped my ole buddy pay his booth rent, and besides a sawbuck ain't worth much at the gas pump and besides all that the dadblamed handles are just very pretty. The photo doesn't do it justice, imho. ::handshake::

Found this today in Millsboro, DE for a dollar. One piece, carved and polished shin bone, 7 inches long, amazingly sharp edges, nice scrimshaw.
Anybody recognize, "RDO. DE TEMUCO", Chile ? Kind of a fun find. J.O'.

Congratulations on some nice finds, especially on a trip with your son on Father's Day! ::tu::
Looks like you could give Scott a run for the money at a flea market. ::hmm::
