This showed up in my mailbox today. Made by a friend in So. Cali who is a Navy vet, avid surfer and master woodworker. He specializes in custom handmade Hawaiian Paipo boards that are exquisitely crafted (many, possibly most, of his creations hang in surfing museums and surfing-themed restaurants, etc., because they're just too beautiful to actually use...to use one of his boards would be roughly equivalent to surfing on a Rembrandt, they're that good!) The handle is Curly Maple; the sheath is also custom handmade specifically for this knife.

This is my first, one and only, puukko and I am absolutely thrilled with it.
