Case Country Tour Bradford

Hi, just wondering if members were going to Bradford, PA for the Case event July 15-16? I might drive there myself and bring 1fartsmella just for the swap meet on Saturday. I'm planning on going to the American Museum of Cutlery in Cattaraugus, NY and a drive through Little Valley to see the Cattaraugus factory ruins and Case family houses on Friday. Hopefully get into Beefeater's restaurant in Bradford Friday night.

Wish I could be there, both for the event and the food. We ate at Beefeaters last time we were there and enjoyed it. Unfortunately it’s a long drive from here. At todays prices, over $600 round trip just for gas.

Beefeaters is a stand alone trip! if ya cant get in there, move over to Olean and try Beef and Barrel. We run down for lunch about once a year. Not so much now, its 140 mile round just for lunch I wanted to go to Case, as well as GEC but couldnt muster either this year.

Rob, I used to eat at the Library in Olean, loved that place. Then the Library went to only catering and I had to find other restaurants. The Library has the most impressive bar, the whole bar was moved from the old Cattleman's Association in Chicago. I think the Beef and Barrel doesn't serve alcohol so I haven't dined there. I like the Century Manor Grillhouse on State St better. I've also had some great beef on weck sandwiches at the restaurant in the old Case factory building in Springville but I heard they changed owners. Ken, I do understand, I was hoping to drive cross country this summer and visit old friends in MT and CA but my car takes high test and I figure it would be over two grand in fuel for such a trip. Gonna take me about three tanks full to go to Bradford and Cattaraugus and home, dang expensive just to hope to find some goodies. Add in the hotel and dinner, gonna be pricey but one only lives once.

Uhmm... I believe that would Putin's fault ... At least that is what they said on CNN and in the Washington Post... ... so I reckon it must be true...

Dang it!! I just looked up the Old Library restaurant in Olean and they are open to the public again!! It is also a Carnegie library like Beefeaters but a larger building. Similar menu, great steaks. Now I will have to decide which one to visit, the Old Library was always my number one place to eat when I was in the area for many Case shows over the years.
