Thanks to Roger was able to add an unusual large 3 7/8" curved Challenge sheepsfoot jack to the collection.

Another really nice addition, John. It had been a while since anyone had posted a Challenge.

Thank you all for the comments.
Ike, I was surprised it had been a year but it seems like nice Challenge knives are getting scarce.

Re: A CHALLENGE for you.
Both are very rare but I would say the brass one is harder to come by .

Me too Mike , congratulations , I know how tough it is to dig up a new addition.

Good looking jacks John and Clark. I wonder where that bone came from because Case and others greatly resemble each other.
Mine.
The bottom knife in the first scan is marked Krakauer, Zork , and Moyes Suc.'s El Paso Tx ( that's a lot on a tang stamp) . I believe it is Challenge made because of construction and the ethnic (Jewish) connection between the hardware owner and the Challenge president.

Thanks. That was my guess. I have a copper Challenge and a nickel silver Case version. All are rare but I have only seen a couple of the brass version. I think they were yours.ScoutKnives wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 10:03 am Both are very rare but I would say the brass one is harder to come by .
