I carved this Santa years back from a blank of her design I bought from a great carver from Spring TX. I wish I could remember her name.

I used a knife & small v tool, It is a small carving & that is all that is needed. Same for the cowboy, I don't enjoy carving caretures? for it takes planing & disiplin, Two more traits I am lacking. Trigo

MR. Blister, It is common old bass wood,
War Eagle ARK. Is a fun place to go to learn wood carving or basket, pottery, weaving, painting.You can camp out in a cow pasture in what ever you have,Tent, car, trailer, motor home or what ever. Good helpful people. You can buy what ever you need there.
Look it up on the inter net. I think you will love it.

That ole cowboy sure does favor old Don Williams (the country singer). Any chance he was the inspiration for that carivng?
