try to post photos........

Post by elchepito »

I posted an article about Mel Pardue and the "AKA-2" auto that started all the 3000 series autos and I just learned how to post photos (I hope):

The AKA-2 is the model Mel turned over to Benchmade in the early 80’s to make what would become their 3000 model. It has a button actuator with 6061 anodized aluminum handle with bone inlays. Blade is 154CM and has a satin finish and about 1" of serration and measure 5-1/4" closed. Does not have blade play, no papers or box.

More pix are available upon request; thank you very much. My intent is to sell this knife and I would like to establish a value so I ask for members opinion. I'm not sure if I can leave my email address for replies, I'm New at this, so I will let the forum control the future replies.

::welcome:: to AAPK, El C.! That's a stunning auto you posted, I am so envious! I've been an auto enthusiast for some time, and I browse www.arizonacustomknives.com daily, and see all kinds of high-end gorgeous autos, and Pardue knives are posted regularly on the site. I really don't know how much more beautiful they can make a knife than some of the models I've seen. I can now add yours to my memories, thanks! 8)

You can't sell knives on AAPK unless you open a store or buy a premium membership. See the membership options in the upper right corner of the page. The mods can give you the boot. Your statement "My intent is to sell this knife" means you are offering it for sale right here right now.
