Hello from Pennsylvania
What's up knife people, it's me. A guy you don't know or haven't heard of.
Anyways, I have a rekindled interest in traditional and slipjoint knives to go along with my more modern locking folders. I came across this site to find a couple older patterns I've been looking at, see there's a forum and here I am. So I'll be here at least a little bit checking things out, seeing how the people are. I mostly post on reddit anymore under the same username. I have been a member at bladeforums for over 10 years, again with the same name. I don't post much over there anymore though.
About me? 30 year old dad of 3, been collecting knives as a hobby for maybe 15 years now. Mostly things like benchmade and spyderco or kershaw standard production knives, with slipjoints and the occasional fixed blade tossed in. As of late I've been more focused on slipjoints and traditional patterns. I have a few great eastern cutlery, a couple rough ryder reserve, opinel, Otter Messer, a whole pile of victorinox. The idea of grabbing up some older antique or rare knives seems pretty cool too. Which is how I found this place while looking to buy an old TL-29 electricians knife. I have an idea of a direction on where to take my collection instead of buying everything. I will see where that leads me, up until very recently I only bought things that caught my eye. I've never specifically tried to collect anything specific.
I'm a cnc and manual machinist, always been interested in metalworking which has led me to attempt making a knife a few times. Its definitelynot as easy as some people make it look. I've been messing around with 3d printing for almost a year now, that stuff is pretty neat, and I still enjoy a good video game session here and there. I don't really have much time for anything these days though. My hobbies all fight for my attention but my kids end up winning everytime, and they're all 3 a bit young to include in most of my hobbies yet. That's it, maybe see yall around.

Lots of great knife information here, pull up a chair and read a spell. We love pictures, so if you have any questions about a knife you have, make sure to include a picture. And
