Case That Looks Awfully Suspicious

Post by RedBone6318 »

Not my images, these were posted recently elsewhere on the internet. Looks awfully suspicious to me. Shield doesnt seem right, scales and jigging seem off, Ive never seen this particular bolster arrangement on a Case, main blade profile and finish seem completely wrong and lastly, tang appears ground, stamped and rebuffed.

What say you experts?

I am certainly not a Case expert, but that is a total fantasy knife.

To my knowledge Case never made that pattern (RAZ) during the Tested XX era. The jigging is wrong for the stamp, the mark is cold stamped. Someone made a total mess of that one. I’d say “good eye” but it doesn’t take much to see that one isn’t right. ::facepalm::

I don't recall any tested knives that had a barlow style bolster, and a cap bolster on the other end.

hehehe looks like a Parker-era fantasy based on a Boker or Frost knife. This is no Tested era knife that is for sure. Looks 80-90's and very poorly done. Shouldn't fool anyone, but sadly it likely has or will.
