Can you post videos? I bought the wife Blink cameras and set them at the feeders and bird bath and am getting great videos . We have closeups of woodpeckers and a Downy woodpecker that you can hear rubbing it's beak and drinking I'd love to share.

On our bird walk this morning we saw a very vocal immature Red-shouldered hawk. And a very uncommon to our area couches kingbird. Usually, they only appear in extreme south Texas. A life lister for me.

Canadian Honkers are a protected species up here in Michigan. Their numbers are so large that their droppings are destroying the areas around many of our natural waterways. The state and metro parks have tried everything to get rid of them but so far have been unsuccessful. The last attempt used trains dogs to chase them away. They were trained to bark and run at the geese (much like they would do while herding cattle I would assume). The geese would all fly away but they always returned a short time later. In the spring of the year when they're mating the males become super aggressive and chase anyone or anything that gets close to them.
The problem could be easily fixed with a short hunting season each year but our DNR in their infinite wisdom has been slow to act.
I believe a character named Jack Miner was the first one to start feeding them in Michigan on their migration each year. Now they're here to stay.
