I'm glad you're pleased with your new knife, buddy.
That is quite unusual that the safety works so well normally they don't, except for the newer very tiny custom made safeties some of the high-end makers are using nowadays.
I might be wrong, but I believe these new ones were invented by Paul "Burn" Panak, but I only say this cuz his knives were where I first saw them. They're designed to be very small protrusions that are tightly encased in the cover material, and are sticking out ever so slightly from the front cover, and only shift a very short distance before they engage. I haven't heard of one failing so far. Of course, IMHO, the knife looks far better with out any type of safety, and I've yet to hear of any auto firing in your pocket on it's own without a safety.
