Crimson Peach Seed series -- minus one

Another collection within a collection. Crimson Peach Seed Case XX. Note the Small Swell Center Jack and the huge Panama Trapper are Shepherd Hills exclusives in the series, where as the others were standard Case XX production. So, I think Shepherd Hills wanted to add to that handle pattern. Missing, but on back order, is the Sod Buster Jr. For those not familiar, the Sod Buster has no bolsters, but all handle both sides. Very unique.

I can hardly believe Case has the audacity to call that "peachseed" bone. The only companies to use true peachseed bone were Schrade and Ulster, it was a proprietary jigging pattern of Schrade's and actually resembled a peach pit's texture. Many consider the Schrade peachseed jigging as one of the nicest ever made. This Case version looks nothing like any peach pit I have ever seen. Maybe I just don't understand modern marketing.

I don't dislike this crimson bone. I actually love it.
I have a Barlow, sodbuster and a stockman with this handle material.
My point is it's not "peachseed" jigging.

No worry. Case calls it peach seed -- I'm just calling what they do. Either way, I like that set that I have. I think it's more the color than anything for me...super dark almost brown in spots, and crimson elsewhere to white. Pics don't do it justice.

Beautiful! Having a few peach trees on my property, I know what the seed looks like, and this is beautiful!

I joined this forum to learn and since then, I've picked up other makes, learned about more, and have spent a small fortune on knives other than Case.

I'll have to be on the look out for Ulster -- again, a new brand for me!

I believe you forgot the 6375 from 2021. I bought mine from Shepard Hills.

I completely agree. When I think of peach seed jigging Schrade immediately comes to mind, just like I think of Winterbottom being Queen and greenbone being Case. I guess Schrade being out of business now (the real Schrade, not the made-in-China Schrade) leaves Case wide open to call their version “peach seed” jigging.

I do like the looks/color of Case Crimson bone though, regardless what jigging pattern.
