Found a Western holster custom maker on line, he advertised some Bowie knives too...me contacting him ended up with a Vintage USA made local blade smith knife blank...
Its a brute, the blade is every bit of 12 inches or so...started working on it, the handles will be { Flat Tang) Rams horn sheep scales with red fiber liners and brass liners....the blade guard is done, filed and cut out of a solid piece of 1/4 inch brass stock.
Lots of file work with my diamond needle files ( big PIA) lol...on back spine and blade,,,,also attempted a Spanish notch on blade!!
I hope I can show this one off here soon, getting very exited to finish it!!
