I'm neither a democrat, a republican nor a Southerner but I thought this was funny:

You are carrying a Glock 40 cal., and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.

Democrat's Answer:

Well, that's not enough information to answer the question!
Does the man look poor or oppressed?
Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?
Could we run away?
What does my wife think?
What about the kids?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand?
What does the law say about this situation?
Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it?
Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children?
Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?
Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me?
If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me?
Should I call 9-1-1?
Why is this street so deserted?
We need to raise taxes, have paint and weed day and make this happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.
This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some friends for few days and try to come to a consensus.

Does not matter if it is a Islamic Terrorist or not. If someone charges at me in a threating matter, I am unloading.

What with all them gun and knife laws you guys have down there you must not have any crime at all!!!!!

We have ANTI gun and knife laws, the criminals have more rights than citizens, let me out of here. A cop once told me, If you shoot, make sure you kill him, otherwise he'll sue. But then the surviving family will sue. The laws are starting to favor us who remain out of jail. We now have the right to shoot someone who is a threat.
In Northeastern California, Modoc County, they have almost no crime at all, BUT 35% of all it's citizens HAVE concealed weapons permits. Maybe we should all carry permits.
They big problem is laws are enacted because of stuff going on in s California. Those of us up North would rather divide the state in half, get rid of S. California, they don't think like us anyway!

If you shoot, make sure you kill him

If you catch them breaking in, make sure they are completely inside before unloading.

Also remember a Head Shot is the only True Stopper.

The new laws say that you can shoot them outdoors as long as it is a perceived threat, has weapon etc. BUT it is real hard to defend yourself in court if the exit wound is coming out of the chest. However this happened in Lake County, 3 guys dead, the shooter was never arrested and all were shot in the back. The shooter was a drug dealer, the dead were thieves trying to steal drugs and money. The shooter was not arrested because his son was so badly beaten and a threat to the family was perceived. However if this happened in Sonoma County, one county over, where I live there would have been an arrest and trial, go figure!
I do like the Smith and Wesson .50 cal, I don't own one but I had the pleasure of shooting one (I did surprisingly well) and would not mind putting that big bore in my arsenal.
