First USA Made Moki

Post by Sharpnshinyknives »

Just picked up my first USA made Moki. I should explain, his name is Moki and he is our new golden retriever. Probably the last dog we will adopt given our ages. I have wanted a Golden Retriever puppy ever since we rescued Kobi when he was 5 years old. We missed all the fun parts. Although golden retrievers all act like a five year old child that is obsessive compulsive so they never really grow up, you just miss the lopping around the yard and watching them discover their new world. So much fun to watch puppies play, it gives me energy to watch them.

Congratulations, Mark! Moki is a wonderful addition to your family, and it looks like he's adjusting quite well.

Moki is clearly a charmer. And I like his name very much even if he can't bark In Japanese.

Thank you Tom,Dan and Garry. He might bark in Japanese but don’t know. He hasn’t barked yet so it’s hard to say. I think he is an alpha, he has a swagger about himself and confidence that allows him to go right up to the other dogs without fear. Scout, our Golden Retriever, is the only one who has scolded him over toys. She came to us with some very severe toy aggression, in fact she bit me the first week when I got in the middle of a dispute between her and our old golden Kobi over a toy. For now she has just scolded with a bark and he gives it up quickly but I know from experience it won’t be long before they are tug a warring over them, it’s instinct. Going to be a blast watching this boy grow.

What a happy looking pup, Mark!
At this point in his busy little life Moki's biggest care is when do we eat again, then figuring a new way to pester the other dogs, then onto taking his human out for a long walk, and finally back home to a nice comfortable spot for another nap!
Lucky dog, and a fine companion!
