Wingen Ceremonial Knife
Wingen Ceremonial Knife
Hi guys,
Got a gem here but would like to know more about it, if there is anyone with knowlegde of this maker and model, I would really appreciate it, I have got some intertest from people about buying it but I would not want to let it go under the value as I am just as happy to keep it.
Any guys I think you'll enjoy seeing this one.
Cheers

That's a beautiful knife. Thank you for taking the time to post pics.

Re: Wingen Ceremonial Knife
I've had a copy of your knife on my "Watch List" at Etsy for about 4 months, Jon, but I can't yet get myself to pull the CDN$246. trigger for it. Hopefully I will eventually, cuz I find these bowies extremely attractive.
I have no idea if his asking price is in line or not, but he hasn't dropped the price in all the time I've been watching it, so I'd say he thinks his price is is line.
Beautiful knife you have bud, if I were you I'd keep it!

I'd say his price is crazy high if it hasn't sold in four months!! Puma made a similar knife, they are highly collected, Anton Wingen not so much.

I can't seem to get all the models straight in my head, Gene, but you're correct, the model I have saved is a genuine (seller's words, not mine) Othello Wingen hunting knife.
So you're saying this knife is overpriced at CDN$246.? Notice that's Canadian funds, US would be $180. at today's rate. The 2 knives we're discussing look quite similar, but there are small differences.
Thanks for making me aware of this!

Puma used to be valued at 4 times what a similar Wingen would sell for. Today . . . ???
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Great looking knife, very traditional German design,,,,I had a Puma Stiefelmesser, sort of a look-a-like!!JonTerry wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 5:38 pm Hi guys,
