I have what I believe is a Dave Shirley MSA 7" ideal made in Gladstone MI. Not sure how to post a pi5.

Re: Dave Shirley Marbles
Picked this one up recently and thought I already had one in my collection, but instead it is a Robeson Mastercraft made by Queen so this one goes into the collection. I did rediscover I had two of the blue pin feather jigged bone Congresses so I listed one of those instead. This one has red carved stag bone handles.

Beautiful Marbles Mark!
The stunning color is the same or similar to the color of the Robeson I have coming, strawberry something, yes?
I have mentioned many times my desire for knives that sport only 1 blade, but that's not to say I don't appreciate and understand a knife like yours having multiple uses with all those blades, or in this case to collect. I have a few Marbles I got from you!

Re: Dave Shirley Marbles
This red is a little more orange than the strawberry bone I have seen on most Robeson’s. Doesn’t mean there aren’t some that less orange, this one has not taken up the color as deeply as others, as you can see on the edges. The others I have with this material are also not as deep and a little more orange in appearance. It’s still very vibrant in color.

I signed up for the membership I can sell on the forum. I also have an aapk store. Haven’t been added to the gold member group yet. I wanted to get these in front of some eyes here in case someone’s interested.
Here’s the knives I’m selling and prices. I have more pictures and videos that show the condition well. Text or email and I’ll send them. Text is best for the videos.

Re: Dave Shirley Marbles
Got these two in today. I thought I already had both in my collection. Turns out that I don’t have the stockman so it’s going into the collection. I will be listing the blue EO Jack later.

Re: Dave Shirley Marbles
Got these 4 in yesterday. Keeping all except the Congress, discovered after I bought these that I already have a Congress in stag. All are from the first run of these in 2001, the gunstock jack is from 2003. The first year production was very limited to only 400 total produced. The stag handled ones are even more rare with only 25 total produced of all 6 patterns from what my research shows.

Re: Dave Shirley Marbles
Lovely group, Mark.
I like the gunstock most, but if each knife had only 1 blade I'd be asking you to get me a copy of all of them! No matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to get past my 1-blade hang-up, anything with more than 1 blade just looks far too "busy" for my taste.
Clean, straight, simple lines, that's me all over!
The cover materials on each model are sensational, which makes it that much harder for me to overlook them, but my "1 blade monkey" is standing firm!

Re: Dave Shirley Marbles
Thank you Mark. I enjoy looking at these Marbles over and over again. I understand about the 1 blade focus. I am getting to like a single blade for carrying all the time.

Re: Dave Shirley Marbles
I love it when I come across a knife in my collection I had not thought of in awhile and get the same rush of pleasure I got when I first had the knife. Then to sit there and examine, admire, and over-all fondle it.....it doesn't get any better than that.
I think if I was still active everyday and had reason to venture outdoors I know I'd carry EDC's and perhaps have reasons for more than 1 blade, but since I don't actually put my knives to use and they are strictly for the esthetic and enjoyment factors, the 1 blade look is what excites me. To each his own, and as Savoy Brown would say, "Now wouldn't it be a real drag if we were all the same"!

My latest. A 2003 Stag Mini Elephant Toe. Dave Shirley had these made on Queen's S & M line. 1 of 150. I have wanted one of these for a while.
