Covert Ops OTF repaired!

Post by Reverand »

My niece found this OTF switchblade in the parking lot where she works. It is marked as a Covert Ops USA brand, but I know nothing about the company.
The blade was intermittently lazy going both in and out. I took it apart and cleaned the pocket lint out of it, and it works flawlessly now.
It is fun click therapy!

Not being a fan of OTF knives Rev, I can't tell you anything about your great find other than how cool it looks.
As it was said it looks brand new, and judging by the price at Weapons & Warriors I say it's a lower mid-level knife.
To keep it operating smoothly, don't forget to apply JUST a drop of Quick Release oil into the blade channel and then fire it a few times. You won't need to repeat this for about 6 months.
Nice score bud!

It belongs to my niece, I only repaired it for her.
I am waiting for them to complete their quarantine time to return it to her. Unfortunately, they keep passing Covid around through their house, but everyone seems to be recovering.

Have to agree on it being lower level but the quality of some of the lower level otfs have greatly improved over the years. I have a lightning that was given to me quite awhile back and although it's not a heavy use knife it fires and retracks perfectly every time.
