Thanks
I remember being a kid and wanting a MKII so bad and all I could afford was a "Valor Japan" version ...

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
My wife dropped me off at the antique mall while she got her hair cut. As soon as I walked in the door, the proprietor asked me, "What year is this Case?" It was sorta rusty and the front end of the knife was separated. The pin was still there but the mark side bolster is pried away from the blade?
Not even sure what pattern it is? 3 1/4", brass liners, 1970 ten dots, just plain worn out. Then he pulls out a big Case, I could see it was a 75 and it was rusted up pretty well also. It proved to be a 6375, 2 dots (1978). The odd thing was it still had factory edges on all three blades. I knew the 75 could be cleaned up and would make a good EDC, so we struck up a deal on both rusty Case knives.
Enjoyed cleaning up the 75 and improving the factory edges!

Congrats Philip. It looks like you used that local brand of YOUNAVJAK ElBoW grease on it. Great save.

Thanks, Floyd.
It would be nice to polish the little grinder marks out of the blades but if it becomes an EDC and since it is carbon steel the patina will overtake the blemishes.

Knice haul!
It cleaned up really well. Wish I could find such a deal on a 1978 Case!

Yeah, I know. I love it. Love the diagonal rosewood grain. Wish we could see the entire stamp. Thanks. J.O'.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
I don't know what the other thread is, but I bought a slot knife with the same marking and my records show that somewhere I got the idea they were Magnetic Cut. Co.'s knives and were made by Union between 1900 and 1930. Mine is near mint, unused and never carried or sharpened. Let me know how to find the other thread. ____Dave Never mind, I found the other thread and it looks like you already have the answers.

WOW Scott nice haul
My son came up from Beantown yesterday morning with an early Father’s Day present knowing the turkey season was in full swing even though I don’t have any bird guns with a chock (may have to get one).So cleaned her up and headed to the woods.
